1. Sip French rustique cafe dining and a great wine cellar - right in the heart of southern Seminyak. This is a relatively new offering in the Bali fine dining scene but a very welcome one. The prices won't break the bank -- though you could most certainly strain it if you delved deeply into the wine list. Call for reservation in the evenings.
2. La Sal Spanish tapas at its best. A moderate range menu is supplemented with daily boards to provide a wide variety of dining choices. Open style seating area with a bar and a garden area for dining.
3. KuDeTa Bali's best known restaurant and club, KuDeTa retains a strong original menu and a decent wine list. See and be seen and have some great food, too. Reservations a must a peak season. Pricey. Tip: Sunday breakfast is a great call.
4. La Lucchiola Just down the beach from KuDeTa lies its aging predecessor. La Lucch, as it's known locally, provides a light Italian menu and a breakfast menu. Favorite among the locals as a breakfast spot. Dinner less inspired.
5. Breeze A great alternative to KuDeTa. Right on the beach with a chilled out area for happy hour sunset views. Menu is fusion and fairly well done. Very good wine list, cigar menu and selection of single malts.
6. Take It's only fitting that a tropical island should have great sushi -- and Take is one of several places to enjoy it. What separates Take from the rest, though, is the wide menu and the great prices. Two locations. Tip: Use the location in Kuta.
7. Gado Gado Beachfront in Seminyak, Gado Gado offers a great location for dinner. An Italian-influenced menu and a good wine list makes it nice dinner choice. Pricey. Sometimes suffers a bit from inconsistency.
8. Ultimo Italian dining on restaurant row. Good food and a good wine list. Hard to beat in terms of value. Tip: Expect to wait for a table evenings in Peak Season.
9. Warisan Fine French in the heart of Seminyak, and rightfully a classic. Consistently great food, a solid wine list and some of th best service on the island. Call for reservation in the evenings. Tip: Lunch is a great deal and not crowded.
10. The Living Room Popular choice for dinner and drinks in Seminyak. Pleasant garden dining. Food can be a bit inconsistent. The menu is predictable with moderate prices.
